When a group of elephants see a predator they trumpet and stomp - and it turns out that they're actually sending out the word to every other elephant for miles around. The vibrations they create carry messages, through the ground, which are then sensed by the sensitive toes of other elephants:
What's more, elephants are expert tool users: Using their trunks they make covers for waterholes, hooks for getting at food they can't reach, and stool to let themselves reach higher.
Add to this that a charging bull elephant is one of the scariest sights nature has to offer, and you might think twice before calling one 'Dumbo'...
