Gandalf's eagles, made real.....

Gandalf the wizard used giant eagles to get himself out of tight spots (as if all that magic wasn't enough of an edge) - a medieval version of air support:



But birds don't really get that big, right?*

Well meet Argentavis:

With a seven meter wingspan this gigantic, gliding monster would have shown up on most airport RADAR screens as the indisputable evidence that the guy manning the screen needed stronger medication.

Argantavis was twice as big. It would certainly have made short work of an orc, and probably his car as well.......
