Overly honest methods......

Have you ever gotten the impression that the guy in the white lab coat might be cutting some corners? Possibly hiding behind technical jargon?


I've been one of those lab coated guys, they're human same as you. They make mistakes, and [John looks slightly shifty] will often try to cover them up .

Some months ago a scientist called 'Leigh' posted a confession of less-than-perfect scientific method on twitter, with the hash-tag 'overlyhonestmethods'.

And anonymous scientists have been using that hashtag to relieve their consciences ever since.


If you don't read much sciencey stuff then you might have to look up a few bits of jargon (for example 'cite' = use as a reference, and 'PI' = Principle Investigator, or bossman), but you have to read this.

You'll never blindly trust a guy in a lab coat again.....
