Twisted vortexs': Fire Devils

A tornado is one of those natural phenomena that hits 11/10 on my oh-shit-o-meter, which I really need to buy batteries for. So imagine my slack bowelled horror when I discovered the existence of fire-devils:

They're rare, and form around an updraft from a wildfire. So the bigger the wildfire, the bigger the fire devil: During the 2003 Canberra bushfires a fire devil five hundred meters wide, a kilometre tall, with winds of a hundred and sixty kilometres and hours formed.

Did I mention it was on fire as well?
