Ugly but smart 2: Tool building crows.....

Crows are creatures of ominous myth: Eaters of carrion, they were usually seen as harbingers of doom.The Babylonians, who had 13  months in a year just to be different, named month number 13 'Crow'. And in Irish myth the three war goddesses Macha, Nemain, and Badb took the forms of crows.

Which is all a bit unfair. Just because they'd happily eat your corpse doesn't make them bad creatures. After all, by definition, you're done with it at that point....

Is that not making you feel any better about them?

I didn't really think it would. 

But at least remember this: The Crows dark plumage and darker reputation hides a brilliant mind............
