Bamboo - it's sort of a bit player in the show which the Panda is a star of.
And, true, Pandas are fascinating - if only for the way they scare the crap out of their parents when they sneeze:
But the perception of bamboos as being only Panda food seems kinda unfair. After all: Bamboo is the fastest growing plnt in the world - it can grow a meter (three feet) a day.
That's as tall as my daughter reached in four years - not bad going for a kind of grass.
